Mysterious Hill Home

Points of Interest are various locations and individuals that can be found all across the map in Red Dead Redemption 2. Points of Interest range from unique buildings to Easter Eggs, and some even reference previous Red Dead titles.

When the player finds a Point of Interest, the option to inspect it will become available. This zooms in on the location, and is followed by the protagonist opening their journal and drawing a sketch of the Point of Interest. The drawing is usually accompanied by some brief text. Once the journal is closed, the location is then marked on the map with a similar drawing.

There are a total of 50 Points of Interest in the game, and the player is required to find at least one in order to receive the 100% completion trophy.

Trivia

• Some of the Points of Interest do not appear in Red Dead Online.
• Other than the events of "The First Shall Be Last", and through the use of the "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor" glitch, Arthur is unable to access New Austin (and the Southern parts of West Elizabeth). However, he still has his own unique entries that he can write about regarding Points of Interest in New Austin and West Elizabeth, along with illustrations more skilled than John's.
• Some of the Points of Interest can be drawn twice in one playthrough, such as the Strange Statues can be drawn by Arthur and again by John in the Epilogue.
